In Good Hands

.
"The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them."
(Deut. 33:27)

A commercial for an insurance company says -- "You're in good hands with Allstate." Well might Christians say of those who are in the care of Christ -- "you're in good hands with the Lord." Certainly that seems to be the message given by Moses to the covenant people in the above verse.

The idea that the saved are "in the hands of the Lord" is a theme often seen in the scriptures. Notice these verses:

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." (John 10:27-29)

"Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." (Isa. 49: 15,16)

Christians are truly "safe in the arms of Jesus"! He is the One who is "upholding" us, undergirding our faith and very spiritual life. There is no safer place than to be in the hands of omnipotent being!

"Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe..." (Psalm 119:117)

"The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." (Pro. 18:10)

Our God is omnipotent and he reigns over all things. "...for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth." (Rev. 19:6)

To be in the arms of God, in Christ, is to be truly and absolutely safe.

Sinner, how safe are you? If you died today, and met God in judgment, how would it go with you? Christ is calling you to him, where you may be forgiven of your sins, renewed in your mind, and receive life from the dead, and occupy a place of real, lasting, and glorious blessing and eternal station. Deny him then no longer. Enter in to him by fully trusting him and in his salvation and you will have the greatest insurance against loss there ever was!
